After Mom's 6 Miscarriages and 1 Viral Photo, Her Miraculous Rainbow Baby Is Finally Here

After suffering six miscarriages in the years following the birth of her son Corbin, Jessica Mahoney was thrilled to learn that she was expecting a rainbow baby. This meaningful phrase honors babies born after loss and represents the immense joy they bring to their parents after a dark storm.

The excited mom enlisted help from JoAnn Marrero of From Labor to Love Photography and Mary Maloney of Pebbles and Polka Dots Photography to capture the excitement of her third trimester with a rainbow-inspired photo shoot. They managed to embody the magical feel by creating a surreal backdrop with rainbow smoke bombs. The jaw-dropping photo quickly went viral but has since been topped by a new addition: a follow-up photo with the mom and daughter.

Mary recently captured a second rainbow-inspired photo with Jessica along with her newborn rainbow baby clad in a vibrant gown and flowing veil for the little girl. "For me, sitting back 20 feet with camera in hand and taking the photographs, looking at Jessa in her rainbow dress and holding her new baby she had awaited for so long . . . it was the most peaceful wave of emotion that came over me," Mary told POPSUGAR. "Everything always turns out OK. The baby is here. She is absolutely beautiful. The rainbow after the storm."
