"I had 6 miscarriages before my first daughter. I pretty much got pregnant every time we tried, but would always lose the baby...whether spontaneously or stopped growing/no heartbeat at dr's but with no bleeding. Dr's couldn't find what was wrong, said to keep trying. They finally sent us to an infertility dr to help " ovulate better eggs". We went thru clomid, injectable drugs and iui's with no success. We decided to take a break when the next step was in vitro and we were going to have to save the $ for it. We still hadn't solved the miscarriage problem, but dr's said pgd (preimplantation genetic diagnosis) would help pick the best embryo's. That was when I started doing my own research, googled "multiple miscarriage" and found a world of info about reproductive immunology. We went to see a specialist out of state, started injectable blood thinners while pregnant, along with some vitamins...I am currently 24 wks pregnant with baby #4!!!! Moral of the story...there is hope!" — Rebecca S.
