Two Oklahoma boys suffered severe second- and third-degree burns after spending hours outside at a local water park — which they attended with their day care — without any protection from the sun. Graphic photos of the boys' burns were posted to Facebook by their aunt, who said that the 5- and 7-year-old boys were in a lot of pain. The post caught the attention of news outlets but also sparked a conversation about childcare legislation, as many people commented that day cares are sometimes prohibited from putting sunscreen on a child unless their parent has brought it in for them, and even then, the child is required to apply it himself.
