The Lumi app is the main part of the entire system, as it's where all of your baby's data is stored. In addition to the information from the sensor and video monitor, parents can manually add feedings of any kind and baby's milestones (first tooth, vaccines — anything that could cause a small or large change in baby's usual routine). The app keeps the information parents need to know (and information their child's doctor might ask for) in one place and charts it both daily and weekly so parents can see how baby's routines evolve over time.
In trials, one mom who used Lumi noted that it helped her to decide it was time to drop her baby's second nap, which was something she was nervous about. However, seeing that the nap was tracking shorter and shorter over time, she realized that her intuition about the nap being rendered unnecessary was correct, giving her a little parent ego boost. (We could all use a few of those!)
