Walmart Launched a Virtual Camp, and Neil Patrick Harris Is Head Counselor

Walmart is getting in on the virtual camp trend this summer with Camp by Walmart, a free online destination filled with activities, games, and challenges; but what's more — Neil Patrick Harris will be your kids' head counselor! Accessible through the Walmart app, Camp by Walmart features activities like science projects, sports, and arts and crafts with dedicated counselors, or your family can choose to participate in challenges with Neil and his celebrity co-counselors, Drew Barrymore, LeBron James, Idina Menzel, and Todd Oldham.

According to Walmart, there's "'The Great Family Challenge,' which features various family-bonding activities, including actress Drew Barrymore taking campers through a make-up tutorial and basketball star LeBron James leading participants through mental and physical activities with help from his I PROMISE School educators; A morning kick-off with Head Camp Counselor, actor Neil Patrick Harris, who sends families through one of 14 camp challenges, from 'Neil's Charades' to musical Mad Libs; 'Skills Camp' is a talent show which features experts teaching new skills, like singer and actress Idina Menzel, who showcases her singing skills to campers; And, designer Todd Oldham reimagines "Smarts and Crafts," which teaches campers about creativity through the lens of arts, crafts and fashion."

Camp by Walmart launched on July 8 with 50 free and fun activities, and 200 more will land on the app throughout the summer in order to keep families entertained and boredom at bay.
