Your Trusty Ol’ Crocs Got a Punk Makeover With Insane Spikes and Chains
Crocs are already pretty controversial, but Barneys New York is taking the love-hate relationship we all have with the ugly (but low-key comfortable) shoe to the next level. The fashion retailer just released a collection of Crocs inspired by the 1980s punk trend, and a few of the pairs are pretty, uh, wild.
Three out of the five shoes included in the collection all come with chains and metal studs that I'm sure will make everyone around you want to keep a 10-foot distance. Seriously, I pity anyone who makes one wrong move while sporting these at a crowded party. Some designs are a little more tame than others and come decked out in wacky prints and charms, though the real stars of the lineup are the $90 studded Crocs embellished with a handful of giant metal spikes at the tip. File these under: shoes to wear when you're not exactly a people person. Keep reading to get a look at the full collection and shop if you're in the mood to take a fashion risk — and desperately need some personal space.
