If you've ever been told you shouldn't wear something soley because of your size, we hope you immediately rolled your eyes and swatted away that thought. The fact of the matter is that it truly comes down to styling and finding flattering options that work for your specific shape. No one knows that better than curvy model Candice Huffine, who shared her thoughts on all those fashion "rules" before the CFDA Awards.
"I feel like we've done a pretty good job at dispelling those myths within the past few years," she told us just hours before the event. "Bloggers, curvy models, and all of us who put out our personal style quite often have proven what you can do and should do, and can try and should try. We threw the stripes myth out the window, crop tops out the window. It's an exciting time for curvy women to get dressed because they can do all the things and they have the options to wear them."
We couldn't agree more. But Candice didn't just stop there with the stellar advice. Read on for why she thinks fashion hasn't yet let go of the term "plus size," how she stays positive, and why her CFDA Awards dress was one of the best she's ever worn.
