After weeks of street style stalking at Fashion Week, prepping for Halloween, and watching the looks unfold on the Spring '16 runways, the arrival of a new month finally gives us all a good reason to shop for ourselves. If, like us, you've been filing away outfit inspiration on the regular and looking for an excuse to hit the racks, Fall's very real arrival will give you plenty. First, you'll need a great coat, sturdy (and impossibly cool) new boots, and a few extras — like a wear-everywhere backpack and a couple of sparkly baubles to dress up your sweaters and jeans. I've been counting the days to the debut of Uniqlo's collaboration with Christope Lemaire. When the collection hits stores Oct. 2, this cashmere sweater ($70) is at the top of my list. Let's just all cross our fingers and pray it doesn't sell out!

I've already amassed a pretty remarkable boot collection, but upon finding M.Gemi's Avallo boots ($298) I found myself muttering "just one more pair . . ." The snake-print offers a fresh spin on the Chelsea boot and I can't wait to pair them with both skinny jeans and tights.

I’m really excited to layer this season after seeing so much street style inspiration during Fashion Week. I love how girls are playing with pieces in varying lengths and have been searching for a beautifully draped, midi-length, pleated skirt to wear with an oversized sweater. Olivia Palermo's collection for BaubleBar is a treasure trove of gorgeous jewels, but I've narrowed it down to just this one sleek cuff ($38). I'll throw it on to dress up jeans and t-shirt or double up on them to outfit a cocktail dress.

The answer to what to wear to all your Fall weddings is this dress ($363). Self Portrait's beautiful lace confections balance sex appeal with romance, and a super flattering silhouette. After their debut presentation at New York Fashion Week, I've become a die-hard fan — can you blame me?

All I have from Spring and Summer are distressed boyfriend jeans and skinny stonewashes, so I am seriously in need of a Fall denim update. On my shopping list is the High-Waisted Dark Wash Jean by Mother Denim ($230). The high-waist extends the look of my legs and it works as a casual day jean, but is ideal for a night out too.
