To pull this off IRL, make sure your bottoms are short enough to show a good portion of your leg and pair them with similar-colored shoes. This will help to elongate your stems, rather than cut them off.

Normally, we wouldn't think this look would work, but somehow, Taylor pulls it off. It's OK to match your thigh-highs to your bowler hat or other accessory, but just be sure to keep the rest of your outfit polished and preppy. Sticking to solids will also keep it chic rather than shocking.
