It Can Stay Nighttime Forever, Because Hunter Schafer's Dress Is Lighting Up My Life
Lately, Hunter Schafer is the only celebrity I want to talk about, and it appears Seth Meyers might sort of feel me on that. The TV host invited the 20-year-old model, LGBTQ+ activist, and Euphoria actress onto Late Night, where he interviewed her while she was wearing a spectacular metallic fringed Sies Marjan dress from the Fall 2019 collection. But wait, it gets better. Because Hunter's socks mimicked the same ombré effect of her dazzling mini, and she took her statement to the next level by accessorizing with aquamarine Mulberry Jane D'Orsay Pumps, which have the same kitschy, look-at-me aesthetic as some of the looks her character Jules Vaughn wears on the HBO series she stars in.
That's one of the reasons we love watching Jules on screen: her outfits, cocreated by costume designer Heidi Bivens, always surprise me, and they spark nostalgia. They make me feel like I can walk right into work dressed in a Limited Too velcro crop top and replace my living room sofa with a groovy floral blow-up couch. Hunter is currently working with stylist Petra Flannery on her red carpet ensembles, and we can't wait to see what she'll put on as her press tour continues. Hunter was already a style muse for fashion labels like Dior, Miu Miu, and Marc Jacobs, but she's quickly becoming my personal icon, too. Maybe that's why I'm already browsing for playful, iridescent dresses like this one. Care to follow along?
