Keira Knightley Valentino Dress at Imitation Game Premiere
Keira Knightley's Valentino Dress Just Got Upstaged by an Umbrella
We're sure the fine folks at Valentino were pretty excited yesterday. Keira Knightley hit two red carpet events in two gorgeous Valentino dresses. The first, a red printed dress straight off last month's Spring 2015 runway, and for the London Film Festival's opening night gala, a tiered gold dress from the fashion house's Fall 2014 Haute Couture collection.
We're also sure, however, that they weren't expecting such a gorgeous gown to get upstaged by something so pedestrian. But when some typical London rain made a cameo on the red carpet, Keira — along with her Imitation Game costar and chronic gentleman Benedict Cumberbatch — took post under an umbrella. And it really did steal the spotlight.
Keep reading to see Keira (and Ben!) working the unexpected accessory, and while you're at it, you might as well zoom in on that Valentino.
It's a Bit Cold Outside
But Keira's a Consummate Professional
She Does What She Came to Do
But Knows to Accept Help When Needed
And that Wind Is Not Messing Around
She Keeps Walking the Red Carpet With Her New Accessory
But One Umbrella Just Isn't Enough
So She Eventually Seeks Refuge With a Friend
They Huddle Up Together
And Do Their Best to Stay Dry
Until Benedict Almost Loses It
But It All Worked Out in the End
So We Can Now Focus on that Valentino
And the Delicate Lacework on the Sleeves
And Those Statement Earrings
But Even Keira Can't Take Her Eyes off The Night's Best Accessory
