Penélope Cruz has shared a well-documented relationship with Chanel and late visionary Karl Lagerfeld: the actress has worn Chanel on countless red carpets and even appeared in a campaign last year. That's why it was no surprise when she attended the Chanel Fall 2019 show during Paris Fashion Week, which saw the final collection the designer had worked on before his death. It was, however, surprising to see Penélope modeling the collection in her sentimental runway debut.
On Instagram, Penélope said it was "an honor" to walk in the show. She added, "What an emotional moment!!!" In the ski-chalet-inspired show, Penélope wore an all-white ruffled blouse and furry miniskirt accessorized with wedge boots, a wide belt, a playful hair accessory, and pearl earrings. She also carried a single white rose down the runway, in what can be considered a symbolic gesture. See photos of the touching runway moment ahead.
