Serena Williams's Skin-Baring, Retouch-Free Shoot For Harper's Bazaar Is a Grand Slam

Serena Williams is baring it all in Harper's Bazaar. For the August 2019 cover story, the tennis player candidly wrote about her highly publicized loss to Naomi Osaka at the 2018 US Open, and to match the vulnerability of her essay, Serena's photos did not undergo any airbrushing.

Yes, this unretouched rule also applied to one stunning shot in which Serena is wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection cape, Christian Louboutin heels, a Bulgari cuff, and nothing else. This isn't, however, the first time Serena has shown some skin for a photo shoot. In fact, she posed naked on the cover of Vanity Fair when she was pregnant with her daughter in 2017.
