Alan Kim Channeled Schitt's Creek's David Rose on the Oscars Red Carpet
Alan Kim's Oscars night energy was simply the best. The 9-year-old Minari actor walked the prestigious red carpet for the first time on April 25, and we couldn't help but notice his outfit looked pretty familiar. Alan's Thom Browne ensemble was awfully similar to that of one of our favorite onscreen characters: David Rose from Schitt's Creek.
Dan Levy, who played David during the PopTV show's six seasons, famously loves Thom Browne's designs. For David's wedding episode, he wore a sophisticated tuxedo with a pleated kilt plus black combat boots, a bow tie, and mismatched socks, including one with white stripes. Alan's outfit differed just slightly, featuring shorts instead of a kilt and black loafers in place of boots, but you can clearly see the similarities — down to those signature socks.
It's unclear if either Dan or Alan has noticed the connection between each other's looks, but we'd like to think these two would get along swimmingly IRL. We're ready for a Dan and Alan project anytime, anywhere! Catch up on both of their looks ahead.
