This Matching Red Sweatsuit Puts Me in the Holiday Spirit — I May Never Take It Off

I've always wanted a matching red sweatsuit — I think part of it is that I have this pixelated memory of my mom in all of her '80s glory wearing one with some sweet high-top Reeboks when I was a toddler — and since loungewear rules everything around me, it was pretty clear to me that now is as good a time as any to make that desire a fashion reality.

Months ago, I stumbled upon this comfy fire-engine-red sweatshirt, and after wearing it weekly I decided this would be the sweatshirt that I'd build my red sweatsuit around. All I had to do was find the matching pants.

After days of seeing them out of stock, Old Navy put them back on the site and I quickly purchased them. When they arrived, I put the full set on and couldn't believe just how soft it all felt. I'm already buying it in more colors. Read on for the full scoop!

Old Navy's Vintage Crew-Neck Sweatshirt and Mid-Rise French Terry Tapered Jogger Sweatpants

Everything about this set is a dream. The Vintage Crew-Neck Sweatshirt ($24, originally $35) has a classic triangle notch on the neck that makes it extraspecial. But the best thing about it is that I've worn — and washed — it at least three times and the color hasn't faded. It still matches perfectly with the Mid-Rise French Terry Tapered Jogger Sweatpants ($28, originally $40), which are super cozy. The pants are tapered, which I like because it has more of a slimming effect, and when I wear the set together I feel polished and comfortable at the same time.
