Lizzo Boards a Jet in Yitty Leggings With Butt Cutouts

Lizzo Had the Best Response to Critics of Her Butt-Cutout Leggings

Leave it to Lizzo to casually drop a bombshell and go about her day. In a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, April 11, the singer was seen boarding a private jet in black leggings with exposed butt cutouts. Lizzo's Yitty promotional campaign continues, and this video might just be the boldest one yet.

The scene opens on the Grammy-winning artist arriving at the aviation ramp in a black car with tinted windows. As the windows roll down, we get a slow glimpse of her outfit: a black bra top accessorized with large matching sunglasses and a silver Yitty chain necklace. Next, Lizzo struts confidently toward the private jet, and we see more of the look. The bra top is matched with Yitty-emblazoned leggings featuring two side cutouts and an opening at the front. We get a back view as she heads up the stairs, revealing the two unexpected oval cutouts at the back. To conclude this display of body confidence, Lizzo turns around and smiles, and then the camera zooms into her backside as she continues walking. "SONG OF THE SUMMER DROPPING 4/14! ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME- PRE SAVE LINK IN BIO," she captioned the video, which offered a preview of the song in question.

The internet, of course, had thoughts. One user on Twitter questioned if her attire was appropriate for flying, writing, "So Lizzo's allowed to get her BARE ASS on a plane & it's fine but Olivia Culpo former Ms Universe is forced to wear her boyfriend's hoodie to fly Cabo cause it was 'inappropriate' ā€¦ we're truly living in a clown world." With thousands of shares, the tweet reignited the offensive debate about what's appropriate for curvy women like Lizzo to wear in public.

Several fans rushed to Lizzo's defense, pointing out the difference in the two situations: Lizzo boarded a private jet in the cutout leggings, while Culpo was allegedly forced to cover her midriff before taking a public flight to Cabo. But either way, we shouldn't normalize policing women's clothing, especially as it pertains to their body type. True to form, Lizzo took the high road and dismissed the sarcasm, replying simply: "Like what you see? Go to YITTY.COM."

Lizzo exudes an infectious kind of confidence, which her fans take every opportunity to praise and encourage. "Wow she's šŸ”„šŸ”„ her confidence is fierce so attractive," someone commented under the post. Another user echoed the sentiment, writing, "She's amazing I feel good every time I see her no matter what mood I'm in šŸ™Œ." Others shared their excitement for the new track: "This song already sounds like a bop #ilovelizzo."

The pieces she modeled, plus the full Yitty collection, will become available to shop on April 12 at yitty.com. Lizzo has also been working on an upcoming album and her new reality show, "Watch Out For the Big Grrrls," so there will be plenty of stylish appearances to come.
