Mother's Day Wish Lists From 10 Seriously Stylish Mamas

What's one item at the top of your wish list this year?

I honestly prefer a handmade gift/card rather than a store-bought present. I appreciate the time spent. It always feels much more personal and special. But if I had to pick a gift, receiving one of my favorite scents, Talco Delicato by i Profumi Di Firenze, never gets old.

What's something you hope you are teaching your child?

There is only one YOU. Be HER. Love yourself.

What's one item at the top of your wish list this year?

"A gift card to my favorite restaurant to celebrate at when this is over — or a massage gift card would be great too!"

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?
"I hope that I am teaching them that change happens, we will be OK and come out the other side stronger."

What's one item at the top of your wish list this year?

"A Neck Massager."

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?

"Hoping to teach them to be resourceful with what they already have. And grateful for what they have. Also imagination playing has been amazing, so building upon that!"

One item that's at the top of your wish list?

"Since getting an in-person facial is now a thing of the past, I've been eyeing at-home options for Mother's Day. The facial kit from Monastery ($285) looks like such a treat — it's an SF-based brand which I love, and the founder Athena offers consultations to advise on the best treatments for your skin via Zoom. Also, my Mother's Day wish list wouldn't be complete without Vintner's Daughter ($185) — I especially love that they are donating to Every Mother Counts as well as offering 2 percent of bottles sales to organizations on the frontlines of COVID-19. And, it's nice to get a little R&R these days — even if I don't leave the house."

What's something you hope you are teaching your daughter?

"I hope I am instilling a sense of kindness, bravery, and most importantly a deep love for herself. Every moment feels like an opportunity to teach her these things by modeling them myself. That is obviously can be easier said than done, but I try each day to be conscious and communicative of that and the impact it has!"

One item that's at the top of your wish list?

"Now more than ever, I feel a profound obligation and desire to support small businesses, particularly those that are working around the clock to help people in need. With that criteria in mind, here is what's at the very top of my wish list (I have two!):

Tenoverten x Hatch ($36): Two female-founded brands I love have just joined forces to create the most beautiful, nontoxic sheer nail polish shades. I already rely 100 percent on Tenoverten's products for my at-home mani/pedis (the polish remover smells like roses!), and now with the introduction of these new colors, I can quickly do my nails with less stress because the supersheer shades mean you won't be able to see mess-ups as easily."

Loeffler Randall sandal ($195): Years ago, after over a decade of suffering in too-hight heels, i discovered LR shoes and haven't looked back since. There's some kind of witchcraft happening in the construction of these shoes that make them 1,000 times more comfortable that every other pair I've ever tried. And they are my exact aesthetic, too. While I'm obviously not going anywhere that requires heels right now, I love the idea of putting something pretty and super comfy on my feet to even just wear around the house as slippers, and dream about the day I will be out and about in them. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, LR's founder, my friend Jessie, has created the most beautiful masks that she's donating to front line workers and hopes to sell them soon, too.

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?

"If I can successfully teach my children to never overpluck their eyebrows, I will consider my job done. Kidding (but only kind of). Just this morning, I overheard my 6-year-old daughter telling her 1-year-old brother that while practice is necessary, it doesn't make perfect because there's no such thing as perfection. She's obviously heard me say this many times over the years, and it made me so happy to see that it's sinking in. When I think about all of the time and energy I spent on fruitlessly striving for perfection, it makes me want to wrap by younger self in a hug and tell her to take 10 deep breaths. Of course, being a recovering perfectionist does not mean I've fully gotten over this part of my life, but it does mean that I can be mindful of how to help my children avoid falling into the same patterns. As a mom, there are a million little and big things I hope to teach my kids, but at the top of the list is definitely showing them by example that perfection is a myth."

One item that's at the top of your wish list?

"Ariel Gordon mini twisted hoops ($245) are at the top of my wish list for Mother's Day. I love these because they are so delicate, I don't have to worry about taking them off at night!"

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?

"I'm trying to teach them to find the joy in whatever situation they are in and try to look on the bright side. It's especially relevant right now when they can't do their usual routine and play with friends, so we try to highlight the fun things they are able to do. They are still a little young, but hopefully this helps to build a foundation for gratitude."

One item that's at the top of your wish list?

"I have two morning rituals that make me really happy, so I'd love replenishment of these things! Making Lady Falcon Coffee is the first thing I do when I wake up. The packaging, the smell, the taste . . . the whole experience. Then Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum ($185). I am totally hooked. For the first time in my life (and I am almost 44!), I am happy with my skin."

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?

"To be a fearless creative and independent thinker. Also to have confidence in herself. My daughter is 12, and as she is doing more things on her own and with friends, I hope she's comfortable making her own decisions and staying true to who she is and what she believes in."

One item that's at the top of your wish list?

"Lunya's Washable Silk Button Down Pant Set ($258). I really want to break my habit of old sweatpants and t-shirts especially now that we are spending so much time at home. I want to feel a bit more styled and put together but still cozy."

What's something you hope you are teaching your children?
"To be kind to others and to themselves. Children who are taught to be kind also tend to be more considerate, compassionate, and giving as adults. If we all focused on teaching kindness in our own homes, could you imagine how beautiful the world would be?"

What's one item at the top of your wish list this year?

I love our Organic Pearl Bead necklace as it is a modern take on a classic wardrobe essential. Pearls will never go out of style, which makes this the perfect heirloom piece to pass on to my girls.

What's one thing you hope you are teaching your children?

What I am most hoping to teach my girls is kindness. I want them to learn to be kind to everyone, but I also hope to be teaching them to be kind to themselves, first and foremost.
