Bella Hadid Closed Oscar de la Renta in a Hot Pink Feathered Cape You'll Need to See to Believe
There's something so utterly magical about seeing an Oscar de la Renta collection in person. Since taking the helm, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have impressed the industry by staying true to de la Renta's classic aesthetics, but have found a way to give the pieces an effortless modern twist that's perfect for this generation. As I walked toward the New York Public Library — a quintessential NYC location that was fitting for the luxury brand — I was excited to see what this season had to offer. Guests sipped on Fiji water as they took in the gorgeous venue and waited for the show to begin.
Bella Hadid opened the show in a cobalt blue trench coat paired with sleek green trousers and a red scarf. The collection was full of flirty minidresses that were adorned in metallic tassels, much like the dress Scarlett Johansson just wore to the Oscars. Voluminous ballgowns fit with corset bodices and delicate embroidery filled the runway. The best, of course, was saved for last, as Bella closed the show in a red minidress topped with a hot pink feathered hooded cape.
