Jean Paul Gaultier's Butterfly Effect
We can think of no prettier creature on earth to inspire a master of couture like Jean Paul Gaultier than the butterfly. Well, maybe there's one: Dita Von Teese. Both beauties found their home on today's Spring 2014 catwalk, and the effect was both sultry and mystifying.
From butterflies, the designs were given wings (literally) with feathers, whimsical headpieces, and vibrant hues that floated down the runway. Ms. Von Teese brought electricity with all the intensity of her bright teal ensemble, and we were once again reminded that nobody works a corset like the burlesque star.
