Look back at your old photos, and you'll probably find yourself sporting a good ol' logo-plastered shirt or two — Hollister or Guess, if you were growing up in the early 2000s. While we've completely abandoned these flashy looks, logos never went completely out of style.

At Fashion Week, they made a subtle appearance on the tees and pullovers of street-style stars and even appeared on the runway at shows like Tommy Hilfiger — who brought back all the branded goodies, from tanks to sweaters, we forgot about. This time around, however, the logo-embossed pieces we saw were stylish and not insanely flamboyant. The designs were simple — take the Balmain look, black text on a white t-shirt — and when paired with modern pieces like a leather skirt, the outfit received a 2016 stamp of approval. The next time you think about tossing on that forgotten logo shirt, consider styling it with upgraded basics from your closet.
