We Found Your Easy Go-to Uniform on the Valentino Runway

The next time you can't decide what to wear, look back at Valentino's Fall 2017 collection. Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli created the ultimate go-to uniform: shift dress with patent leather boots. Easy, right?

The designer sent billowy long-sleeved dresses in shades of red, blush, teal, and chartreuse down the runway, and every model wore an identical red beaded necklace. Boots were the shoe of choice, partly concealed underneath the hem of these everyday gowns. It's clear Piccioli has a penchant for romanticism, a quality the fashion house embodies, as almost every garment in the collection featured a high-neck collar and soft, lace details.

Though the Victorian-style dresses were impressively beautiful, the outerwear also shouldn't be missed. Coats with split panels flowed away to reveal silky trousers and patterned dresses underneath. Several of these pieces featured abstract hand prints with mathematical equations. It was a funky design for the fashion house, though the pastel colors stayed true to the collection's aesthetics.

For the girl who loves black, however, do not worry, because Piccioli covered his bases by offering a mix of dark sheer and silky gowns (paired with boots of course) that were delightfully delicate.
