11 Friends Outfits That Are Back In Style

We still can't get over the fact that Rachel never changed her airplane clothes to try and stop Ross from marrying Emily, but her athletic look was quite trendy, despite the fact that she actually attended a wedding in this ensemble. If you stop and take a look, you'll see that the athletic strip on pants, whether they are sweatpants, or trousers, is so in right now.

Fashion It-girls, like Gigi Hadid, have been spotted all over Fall Fashion Week rocking these athletic, stripe-down-the-side pants, and we can't get enough of it. By wearing a pair of these pants with a sleek turtleneck (and heels if you dare), it'll spice up the look and take it from workout ready to going-out appropriate instantly.

There are so many styles we love in this photo, like Monica's sweater and Phoebe wearing a dress over her turtleneck top (which again, is a fun look for Fall and Winter), but it's Rachel's white tee with a simple graphic that is really popping up everywhere.

While you can opt for a small object on your white tee — like Rachel's little crown design — we are seeing ladies rock short, but empowering phrases on their white shirts, and it's both fierce and feminine. Try pairing it with a fun skirt and bootie for a Fall look that'll last you throughout the season.

Both Monica and Phoebe proved that flower power is never a bad idea in this episode, and we totally agree. What stands out the most, however, is Monica's simple cardigan that she wears over her printed dress. It takes the look from Summer to Fall in an instant.

PS: don't think we missed the fact that both characters are wearing messy buns, which also never go out of style.

Take direction from Selena Gomez, who clearly pulled a Monica with this outfit choice. She took a simple patterned-dress — which is dainty and fresh — and paired it with a cream cardigan and white sneakers for an easy, everyday wardrobe choice.

While we usually focused on the ladies on Friends when it came to wardrobe choices, Ross is totally on point here with his leather jacket look. Plus, Rachel's printed maxi is sleek, fun, and easy to throw on no matter how hot or cold it is outside.

If you want to honor Ross and dabble in leather this year, we recommend a faux leather trench, like the one you see here, or adding a pop of color to your jacket — it'll definitely be a showstopper. As for that maxi skirt, the bolder the print, the more fun you can have!

Seriously, if Free People and Anthropologie don't look to Phoebe as their muse every season, they're doing it wrong! In addition to Pheebs's suede jacket in this image — that is to die for — we are big fans of her layers and the fringe detailing that takes the whole look to the next level.

We know this jacket might not be suede, but we love it just the same. Layering one jacket (that has fringe on it by the way) over a longer coat and basic white tee, with jeans and boots, is definitely a nod to Phoebe and her boho-chic ensembles.

Another episode, another Ross and Rachel fashion lesson to learn! While Ross only wore this "Frankie Says Relax" shirt to prove a point that he wanted his stuff back from Rachel, wearing a shirt that is nostalgic or vintage is very appropriate today.

When it comes to Rachel, her work ensembles were always on point. Take this power skirt-suit for example: the color is strong, pretty, and looks professional without being boring . . . so take note!

Leave it to Andy Cohen to channel Ross on his daily walk in NYC. By wearing this vintage-inspired Snoopy shirt, he is pulling off the "Frankie Says Relax" style, but it actually fits him.

When trying to revamp your work attire, if you don't want to wear a suit-skirt combo, try twisting that style and instead wearing a dress-and-jacket combo. Leggings are everywhere, and we mean everywhere right now, and of course Phoebe wore them first — and maybe better. She was never afraid to take fashion risks, and these funky leggings, with an oversize sweater prove it.

Whether or not you like leggings to be worn as pants (and not just at the gym), this trend is here to stay. For a less intense look, try a fun black legging, like these sheer-sided pants, and go for a more outrageous top for your pop of expression. If you wear funky pants (like Phoebe's) try and keep your top half neutral in color.

Both Monica and Rachel have killer dresses on in this episode still. Monica shows once again that a maxi dress is a great staple to have in your closet and that prints are a great design choice. Rachel on the other hand is donning a minidress that appears to be a tank-dress style, and its both sexy and functional.

If a button-down maxi dress isn't your style, then a floral print maxi is your next best option. Style it with a denim jacket and fun kicks, and your look can go from a day out at the farmer's market to dinner and a move without any hassle.

To channel your inner Rachel, definitely try a minidress that has more of a tank-style top. While you can try a houndstooth or small checker pattern a la Rachel, we'd opt for a black or subtle print in this style. Adding a fun boot will also take it to the next level.

Okay, a lot of the time, but this black miniskirt, tights, and turtleneck combo was almost as iconic as "The Rachel" hairstyle that she had.
