Melania Trump's Year in Coats — From Chanel to Dolce & Gabbana

Melania Trump has a lot of shoes, a lot of handbags, and a lot of eye-catching, oftentimes controversial fashion items to put on display. But it's her arsenal of coats that gets overlooked, and we say that because the FLOTUS has yet to repeat a trench or a parka.

Might we remind you that Kate Middleton has trustworthy outerwear she's worn year after year for the same occasions. But from the looks of Melania's many appearances — she stunned in a plum avant-garde Delpozo design, wore sparkling tweed Chanel for the tree lighting, and, oh, yeah, made headlines in her $51,000 Dolce & Gabbana 3D florals — she's not about to wear something memorable twice.

That's not to say we're not impressed by her fashion eye. Melania's coats run the gamut. They're luxurious, textured, and sometimes patriotic in color, and they seem to get the job done (you know, they keep her warm). Ahead, reminisce about our first lady's lineup of jackets and check the price tags where we could ID the labels.
