Meghan Markle's Dress Was So Beautiful, No One Noticed It Broke Royal Protocol

Meghan Markle's been pretty busy since saying "I do" on May 19, and we've loved following along with her as she's been settling into her new role as the Duchess of Sussex. After a gorgeous appearance at Buckingham Palace celebrating Prince Charles's 70th birthday patronage, Meghan took a break from the spotlight, only to return with a bang for a very special occasion: Trooping the Colour.

For the event, which celebrates the queen's official birthday, the duchess wore a beautiful yet surprising pink off-the-shoulder dress by Carolina Herrera, which she accessorized with a matching Philip Treacy hat and a clutch. To finish her stunning outfit, Meghan also wore opal stud earrings and Birks rings, which perfectly complemented her unique wedding band.

While the pretty neckline reminded us of Meghan's now-iconic wedding gown, some were quick to point out that it may have broken royal protocol. On top of having to wear tights, female members of the royal family are also generally advised to dress more conservatively, which implies that they should keep their shoulders covered.

Regardless of the fact that the duchess may or may not have broken an unspoken fashion rule, there's no denying that she looked absolutely radiant — and you'll want to see her royal ensemble from every single angle.
