This Is the New Weekend Uniform For the Lazy, but Stylish Girl

I may work in fashion, but that doesn't mean I don't deal with the daily struggle of figuring out what to wear because I'm over everything in my closet. In fact, one could say that I've just mastered the art of dressing for the lazy girl with my go-to jeans-and-top combination. (I'm the girl who has three separate alarms set every morning, JIC I don't wake up to the first alarm, and I'm honestly OK with it.)
Since I'm always on the lookout for easy outfits that look cute but require minimal effort, I decided to check out our POPSUGAR at Kohl's collection rack in the office to see if I could come up with an updated weekend uniform. (It's like having a second wardrobe, and it's pretty darn amazing!)
Most days (weekends included), I usually wear some iteration of jeans and a top, so I wanted to give my uniform a fresh spin, whether it was by styling a cardigan with a chic beret or paring a ribbed top with a fun fanny pack. I came up with three outfit ideas for the weekend that are so easy, I spent less time worrying about what to wear and more time unwinding with my friends and family! Friday
What better way to celebrate the start of the weekend than with a fun beret! (Mine is from the eco-friendly retailer Antidote and it costs $43.) I decided on a breezy, baby pink cardigan from the POPSUGAR at Kohl's upcoming drop. It features a red heart stitched on the side because, you know, "Friday, I'm in love." I finished my look off with my favorite 7 For All Mankind mom jeans ($119, originally $199), a pair of pink Cole Haan x Karla Welch boots, and a velvet Madewell bucket bag.

Saturday
Since Saturday is my designated "night on the town," I opted for a chic navy and red POPSUGAR at Kohl's Ribbed Slit-Sleeve Sweater ($37, originally $50). It features long, flare sleeves with slit details that give it a fun '70s vibe. I actually own a pair of Parker Smith jeans that have a similar red strip and slit detailing, so I figured it was meant to be. I completed my outfit with a fanny pack, so I could go hands-free, and my comfy Tory Burch heels.

Sundays are for family and catching up with friends over brunch. This POPSUGAR at Kohl's Elbow Sleeve Sweater ($50) was an easy top to style with my go-to J.Brand skinny jeans. The three-quarter sleeves make the look feel more polished, and the material felt like a worn-in sweater that I've had for years. I matched the hint of red in the sweater with my suede Stuart Weitzman sock boots to add a couple of inches to my frame.
