The story behind the rings: "Monica went on a (stressful) journey to find a ring to propose, which was a total surprise. Akirah had previously shared the type of ring she liked, but after many attempts going down the engagement ring rabbit hole, Monica landed on a beautiful shop called Icing on the Ring in downtown LA, where she customized a ring for Akirah, to be given in a simple, budget-friendly proposal on New Year's Eve. The couple brought in 2017 engaged."
