Former editor and author Amy Odell remembered Andre in an Instagram tribute, writing, "Many tributes to André Leon Talley are coming out across social media and my sense having interviewed him over the years is that he would have loved all of them. I had the opportunity most recently to speak with him last year for my biography of Anna Wintour coming out in May. He was unbelievably generous with his time, talking to me for hours, and hearing his stories was like listening to a podcast you just don't want to end. One of the things he loved doing in his career was hosting the Met Gala red carpet videos for Vogue. Here he is on the red carpet in 2011, the year the famous Alexander McQueen exhibit opened. Rest In Peace, André and thank you for all the times you helped me when others in this industry would not have."
