The three-speed Priority Bicycles Classic ($430, originally $450) has taken me across New York City for fun, work, and errands with barely more than an occasional tire refill, and it's lightweight enough that I can carry it to my third-floor walk-up apartment with ease. I've been recommending it to all my friends as the perfect entry-level bike for the casual commuter at a surprisingly good price point.

Brrrr! If chilly weather isn't keeping you from running or biking outdoors, then you need layers to keep you warm. This Mizuno Full-Zip Hoody ($85) is made with Breath Thermo technology, which actually generates heat for added warmth. I wore this over a sports bra and tank on a 30-degree run and it was perfect. The hood keeps your head toasty and is able to slip down when you get too hot. The thumbholes prevent wind from going up your sleeve, and I love that the zipper goes all the way up to your chin. This is also going to be a great baselayer for under my Winter coat when snowshoeing or skiing. Definitely worth it!

Staying active outside is vital to beating the Winter blues, but you have to be properly dressed. I love this Stripes Reversible Dome ($26, originally $35) from Mountain Hardwear for my wintry activities. It's perfect for hiking and cross-country skiing but also cute enough to sport on my commute. And since it is reversible, it is really two hats in one! Go solid when the mood strikes, or make it stripey for extra splashes of color.

Fancy dressing during the holiday season is no longer limited to the LBD for formal occasions! These stylish Motopant leggings ($74) from Onzie turn any workout into a party. And, of course, they make hot yoga even hotter. The mesh panels on the thighs and calves help keep me cool during yoga and SoulCycle. These leggings are eye-catching outside the studio too — pair them with a tunic and short boots and you're ready for post-workout weekend brunch.

For outdoorsy workouts, I always have my phone on me in case of emergency, to listen to my tunes, to track my workout, and to snap some pics along the way. And this Lifeproof Fre Power Case ($130) has been exactly what I need. It protects my phone against scratches, cracks, dirt, rain, and snow. I love the freedom of knowing I could drop it in a snowbank or on rocks, and the phone would stay safe and dry. But since this is also a battery case, it offers twice the battery capacity, so I feel confident going out on day-long adventures if I want. When my phone battery is low (which happens quickly when using my phone's GPS to track mileage), I just press the button on the back and the case charges my phone.
