14 Olympians That Went For the Gold on Dancing With the Stars
Let's be honest — not everyone who tries their hand at ballroom dancing succeeds. That's why when we hear that an Olympian is featured on Dancing with the Stars, we can't help but get a little pumped that some of the world's greatest athletes will try their hand at a tango. The latest Olympian to grace the show's stage is bobsledder and track star Lolo Jones. Unfortunately she didn't last long in the competition, being the first contestant eliminated this week.
After the show, the athlete went to Facebook to admit her remorse for leaving DWTS so soon. She hoped the show would lift her spirits after years of feeling scrutinized, saying, "My brief time on #DWTS was a lasting lesson. I really wanted to stay on the show and have the layers of hurt wash away by showing the public how hard I work. I wanted to come away a victor for once. I wanted to do so good performing in public that the haters would stop teasing me." No haters here, Lolo. We love her confidence for giving the dance floor a try. Source: ABC
