Is your entire activewear lineup full of Nike and Lululemon? Trust me, I'm right there with you. And while they're still two of my very favorite brands, wearing the same stuff over and over — and the same stuff as everyone else at the gym — can start to feel a little stale. While referring to myself as a fashionista may be a stretch, I do know a thing or two about stylish activewear, and these brands are definitely some to watch. Switch up your sweat style with new picks from these rising stars.

Eddie Bauer

Not gonna lie, the first things that used to come to mind when I thought of Eddie Bauer were a limited-edition Ford Explorer and rugged, outdoorsy people in flannels and duck boots. That all changed when I discovered the brand’s women's activewear collection (with a focus on outdoor adventures, of course). If you love working out outside the gym, hiking, and exploring in the great outdoors, you've got to check out the Eddie Bauer active line.

Outdoor Voices

A brand I've had my eye on for a little while now is Outdoor Voices. I spotted a familiar silhouette on my best friend at a SoulCycle class (thanks to endless hours of online shopping), and she confirmed that it was the Slashback Crop from OV. This brand is simple, sophisticated, and impossibly stylish in the most understated of ways. Keep an eye out, as you'll be seeing more and more of its logo at your gym in the near future.

Stone Fox Sweat

Stone Fox Sweat

Dreamy, tropical travel, meet fitness: the swim brand Stone Fox released a beach-inspired (naturally) collection for sweating, the beach, and beyond. Take one look at the gorgeous prints and strappy, fitted silhouettes, and you'll start daydreaming about stand-up paddleboarding in Hawaii or hot yoga on the lush jungle coastline of Tulum, Mexico.

Public Myth

Public Myth

The Canadian brand Public Myth has capitalized on the popularity of Instagram fitness influencers; in fact, Instagram is where I discovered the brand, in a "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SPORTS BRA?" moment.

Alala

Alala

Fashion and function live as one with a sleek urban aesthetic at Alala. In a collection that works seamlessly as both activewear and streetwear, you'll find metallic fabrics, mesh insets, and posh jackets to wear to and from the studio (or your favorite restaurant).

YogaSmoga

YogaSmoga

As a yoga-lover myself, I was captivated by a gilded storefront in downtown San Francisco, which was emblazoned with enormous letters spelling "YOGASMOGA." What I discovered inside was an aesthetic very similar to Lululemon (and a similar price point) — but with a beautiful style all its own.

Koral

Koral

Sexy, feminine, and edgy. The looks you'll find from Koral look like they were made more for walking a runway than going for a run. PSA for all you trendsetters out there: you won't look like anyone at the gym with an outfit from Koral activewear.
