After Wearing Lululemon Almost Daily For Years, These Are the Best Products

Though I've tried almost every single activewear brand out there, I keep coming back to Lululemon. Once that brand hooked me in, I was smitten and my heart has belonged to Lulu for years. There are just certain pieces that are so well-made and so flattering that nothing really compares.

Think of this as your Lululemon starter kit. Whether you're choosing a gift for someone this holiday season or making your first foray into this beloved line of leggings, use this definitive guide of the best Lululemon products to find essential pieces that'll last year after year (and won't go out of style). I can personally guarantee you that they're well worth the money . . . and that you might not fully realize the magic of Lulu until you've tried each of these!

Align Crop

Align Crop

If a stick of butter had hopes of becoming yoga pants and then decided to pursue its dreams, this would be the result. The Align Crop ($88) is one of Lululemon's best products of all time — an insanely soft, incredibly light fabric that does wonders for the figure while giving the right amount of coverage with a high waistline. They're the ultimate black yoga pant (though they're also phenomenal in other colors!) and make an excellent, foolproof gift. You'll actually want to live in these.

Power Y Tank

Power Y Tank

If you've been to a gym or yoga studio in the past five years, chances are you've seen this silhouette. The Power Y ($52) is an iconic Lululemon style that is carried over season to season. And it's no wonder it keeps it in its ever changing rotation; it is flattering and comfortable, stays in place, and goes with everything. The built-in shelf bra provides light to medium support for smaller chests, eliminating the need for a bra. I have four of these in my own rotation, and they're worn the most of any of my active tops.

Free to Be Bra

Free to Be Bra

If you're on the smaller side, you'll want to stock up on the Free to Be Bra ($48) — or any variations (Lulu also makes Free to Be Wild and Free to Be Zen, which are the same bra with a different back design). For being a somewhat delicate bra by appearance, it offers a surprising amount of support — I'm a 30D and have comfortably worn this to SoulCycle and Barry's Bootcamp as often as I have to yoga and barre.

Enlite Bra

Enlite Bra

If you need more support and are larger up top, opt for the Enlite Bra ($98). The newest addition to the Lulu bra lineup blew us away in our sweat test and has been revered as a miracle by large-chested women.

Go Lightly Duffel

Go Lightly Duffel

So this in particular is *not* one of those carryover styles; Lululemon releases new bags every season, but I can tell you with confidence that it doesn't matter what season it is: a Lulu gym bag is a great investment (and one of my all time favorite pieces). This is true for both the men's and women's lines! I've been swooning over the color of the Go Lightly Duffel ($148), but there are tons to choose from right now. If you're in need of a really excellent holiday gift for someone special and aren't sure about someone's top or bottom size, this is a safe bet!

Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve

Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve

While the entire Swiftly line (Lulu makes tees and tanks in this material/style) is a crowd favorite, my personal go-to is the Swiftly Tech Long-Sleeve Crew ($78). It makes the ultimate layer piece for cooler temps and is so soft, comfortable, and flattering, you'll want to wear it well beyond your outdoor run or ballet class. The white in particular is one of my weekly staples.

Wunder Under Hi-Rise 7/8

Wunder Under Hi-Rise 7/8

For a long time, the best Lulu pants to get were the Wunder Under and the High Times. Lululemon switched things up a bit and essentially relabeled the High Times pant (new name, who dis?) as the Wunder Under Hi-Rise 7/8 ($98). I am personally a fan of the luxtreme material and "spacedye" color (in my mind, this is quintessential Lulu), but these slightly cropped leggings come in different materials and colors each season, so you can pick which suits you best.

Down For It Jacket

Down For It Jacket

Each Fall and Winter season, Lululemon comes out with a set of sporty outerwear that almost immediately sells out. Its most popular styles are the puffer jackets. Why? Because if you ask anyone who owns one when they got it, the answer will be something like, "IDK, like five years ago maybe?" While the price of the Down For It Jacket ($248) may feel a little steep going into it, it'll pay off to have this on hand over the years, especially if you don't plan on letting cold weather slow your workouts down.

Cool Racerback

Cool Racerback

Layer over your Enlite Bra or Free to Be Wild with a silky-smooth, ultrasoft Cool Racerback ($48). Yet another piece that shows up in every season's lineup (somehow with fresh, new, unique colors every time), this classic style will never fail you.

Vinyasa Scarf

Vinyasa Scarf

You may have heard tales about the Vinyasa Scarf ($48); part neck accessory, part cape, and part DIY sweater, you can wear this in seven different ways! This is another piece that'd make a really amazing gift if you don't feel like guessing someone's size.

Hotty Hot Short

Hotty Hot Short

Even if you're not a runner, I'd highly recommend these easy, breezy, lined shorts. With built-in underwear, zippered pockets, breathable mesh, and light-as-air fabric, the Hotty Hot Short ($58) will be your go-to choice when you're not quite feeling the leggings vibe. I've worn them in different distance races (including a gorgeous 17K along the Big Sur coast) and they don't dig into your hips or cause any chafing whatsoever. Win.

Scuba Hoodie

Scuba Hoodie

Another one of the most beloved Lululemon styles of all time is the Scuba Hoodie. With a tailored fit, soft and cozy cotton (hello, machine wash and dry), a thousand color options, and classic styling, the Scuba Hoodie ($118) is the ideal to-and-from the gym piece to have on hand at all times — especially when it gets chilly outside.
