Bibs Are Selling Fast For the Disneyland Paris Run Weekend, Because, Well, Look at It

Walt Disney World and Disneyland have played host to many runDisney races over the years, but they're not the only ones. Disneyland Paris gets in on the action, too — and it is magical. This September, people from all over the world will gather at the park for the fourth Disneyland Paris Run Weekend. Just like its American counterparts, Disneyland Paris does running the way only Disney can, with courses weaving through Sleeping Beauty Castle and lots of characters along the way.

If that sounds like your idea of a vacation, registration is open now — and like so many runDisney races, bibs are sure to sell out fast. Get the details here (there are six different ways to compete!), then hop over to the Disneyland Paris site to book your trip.

The Courses

The first thing to know about this weekend: the courses are spectacular, covering ground in both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. If you decide to run the half-marathon, you'll get to delight in running through the French countryside and nearby villages, too.

Disneyland Paris 5K

Disneyland Paris 5K

The Disneyland Paris 5K is one of the only night races left on the runDisney circuit. And since this distance is beginner-friendly — and open to anyone 5 years or older — this is the perfect event for families traveling to Paris for race weekend. The 5K goes through Walt Disney Studios Park and is filled with on-course entertainment and Disney characters.

Disneyland Paris 10K

If you want to challenge yourself a bit more, step up to the Disneyland Paris 10K. Registration is open to anyone 14 years or older, and the course runs through both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studio Parks, starting at 7 a.m. (Yes, that means a sunrise run through the happiest place on earth. Swoon.)

Disneyland Paris-Val d'Europe Half Marathon

There's nothing quite like a Disney race for your first 13.1 — or in this case, 21 kilometers. The Disneyland Paris-Val d'Europe Half Marathon is all magic and whimsy, as the course winds through both Disneyland Paris parks and the French countryside. You must be 18 years old on race day to participate.

31K Challenge

31K Challenge

Just like other Disney parks, Disneyland Paris gives runners an opportunity to earn more of those coveted medals by participating in challenges. Runners who complete the 10K and half-marathon will receive an additional 31K Challenge medal. To be eligible, you must register for the challenge itself, instead of buying each race individually.

36K Challenge

36K Challenge

The Disneyland Paris 36K Challenge is the ultimate test of endurance. Those who want to earn the medal will have to run the 5K, 10K, and half-marathon all in the same weekend!

Castle to Château Challenge

Castle to Château Challenge

The Castle to Château Challenge is for anyone who wants to complete a runDisney half-marathon at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Paris-Val d'Europe Half Marathon in the same calendar year. To register for this challenge, you must inform runDisney France of your participation when you finalize your runner form registration. You'll need to provide a runDisney race finishers certificate with your official results.

Kids Races

Kids are never left out at Disney, so naturally, they're welcome to get in on the action at Disneyland Paris with races designed specifically for them. There are three different distances, categorized by age:

  • 100m: 1 to 3 years old
  • 200m: 4 to 7 years old
  • 1K: 8 to 12 years old

How to Register

There are two options for registering for the Disneyland Paris Run Weekend. You can book your race, park tickets, and resort stay as a package, or you can book everything individually with a bib-only registration. Be aware that pricing is in Euros and won't be converted to dollars upon checkout. Before arriving in Paris, you'll need to have a doctor fill out a medical waiver of participation as well.
