Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Naomi Girma played for the United States U17, U19, and U20 teams, even captaining the latter. She received her first senior call-up in 2019 but had to bow out due to injury, and she eventually made her USWNT debut in 2022. While playing pro soccer, she's also pursuing her master's degree in management science and engineering.
