Cauldron Cakes at Wizarding World of Harry Potter
This Iconic Wizarding World of Harry Potter Dessert Got a Magical Makeover
We often wax poetic about the food at Disney parks, but the eats at other theme parks deserve their own time in the spotlight. Perhaps the best theme park food out there is the selection at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where culinary wonders leap straight off the pages of Harry Potter and into your mouth. We've tried our fair share of the sweets at WWOHP, and now one of the park's tastiest desserts has gotten a makeover. Everybody, meet the new cauldron cake — a tasty, rich chocolate cake with buttercream icing that comes in its own reuseable mini-cauldron.
You might remember the former iteration of this treat, a round chocolate brownie-cake topped with a chocolate "handle" and icing. This new version costs $10 and is available at several locations in WWOHP, and so far it's getting rave reviews.
Not everyone is happy about the cauldron cake change, though . . . check out this disappointed discovery below. We get it: when some people gaze into the Mirror of Erised, they see themselves holding the old version of Cauldron Cakes. Don't worry — we have the recipe! Now grab your wand and get cooking.
