Pearl's Liquor Bar and Stillhouse Moonshine are setting us straight about moonshine. There's so much to know — from how it's made to what cocktails it tastes great in. Since the Grammy Awards are coming up, we're shaking up cocktails inspired by some of the nominations this year.
"Drunk in Love" Cocktail
From Stillhouse Moonshine
Ingredients
- Ice
2 1/2 ounces moonshine
1/2 ounce Luxardo Maraschino, chilled
2 red grapes, for garnish
Directions
- Fill a coupe with ice to chill the glass.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and pour in moonshine. Cover and shake until well-chilled.
- Empty ice from coupe, and strain the cocktail into the glass. Pour in the Maraschino liqueur, and garnish with red grapes.

"Heartbreaker" Cocktail
From Stillhouse Moonshine
Ingredients
- 6 raspberries
1 1/2 ounces moonshine
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce agave
2 ounces chilled Prosecco
Directions
- Muddle 4 raspberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, and add moonshine, lime juice, and agave. Cover and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a Champagne flute, and top with Prosecco. Garnish with remaining raspberries.

"The New Classic" Cocktail
From Stillhouse Moonshine
Ingredients
- Ice
1 1/2 ounces moonshine
Twist of lime
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in moonshine, cover, and shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a twist of lime.
