Try Not to Drool as You Gaze Upon These Sexy Grilled Cheese Doughnuts

We've been thoroughly enjoying the doughnut foodie trend and the incredible creations that it has spawned. The everything bagel doughnut was the sweet and savory treat we had been craving, and unicorn doughnuts delighted our taste buds as well as our imagination. We didn't think the trend could get any better until we heard about the mouthwatering Flamin' Hot Doughnut Grilled Cheese served at Clinton Hall biergarten for one month only.

The geniuses behind this delectable creation took a Habanero Glazed Bacon Doughnut from The Doughnut Project and sliced it in half, placed mozzarella cheese between the slices, and cooked it on both sides like a grilled cheese. When the cheese is oozing out the sides of the toasted doughnut, the chef places the creation on a hook above a bowl of tomato soup, allowing the cheese to drip into the bowl. Basically, it's a pretty sexy dish.

Only 20 Flamin' Hot Doughnut Grilled Cheeses are served each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for $11 each. If you can't wait to sink your teeth into one of these, we suggest heading downtown to Clinton Hill in Manhattan early in the morning before they sell out.
