Hot Pockets Food-Truck Flavors
Hot Pockets Partners With Food Trucks For Its Latest Flavors
Ever wish having food-truck grub could be as convenient as going to your freezer? Well, Hot Pockets is making that happen by teaming up with four food trucks from Los Angeles and Chicago to create its newest flavored bites ($6) and sandwiches ($2). Komodo, The Lobos Truck, Baby's Burgers, and Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery worked with Nestlé's culinary team to develop these four new flavors. In the true spirit of the food truck, bacon makes a strong appearance as do spicy ingredients . . . and of course lots of gooey cheese. This isn't a first for the freezer aisle. Just last Summer, Häagen-Dazs created an Artisanal Collection, crafting a line of ice creams with prominent, artisanal confectioners. Now, it appears large brands, like Hot Pockets, are following suit to partner with independent proprietors. Though we have yet to try the products to determine if they are as tasty as the real food-truck deal, here's a look at the packaging and the inspiration behind each flavor, according to a recent press release.
