Trader Joe's Everyday Seasoning

The 1 Product You Don't Have From Trader Joe's but Should

It's hard to pick a favorite Trader Joe's product, but if we had to, it would be the Everyday Seasoning. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for anything in particular in the spice aisle, but it's been one of the company's best products for years and has made its way to a cult following of die-hard fans (including us). Why? The combination of sea salt, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, coriander, onion, garlic, paprika, and chili pepper makes for a salty, slightly spicy, and supersavory seasoning that goes with literally anything — anything savory, at least. Here's a rundown of some examples to get you started:

  1. Chicken
  2. Popcorn
  3. Tofu
  4. Rice
  5. Shrimp
  6. Mac and cheese
  7. Pasta
  8. Indian curries
  9. Buttered toast
  10. Eggs
  11. Salmon
  12. Beans (especially chickpeas and white beans)
  13. Lentils
  14. Roasted vegetables
  15. Pork
  16. Soup

. . . I think you get the idea.

The best part is the spice blend comes in its own grinder, so you crack the seasoning fresh every time and definitely don't have to worry about owning a spice grinder. You can even buy it on Amazon if you don't live close to a Trader Joe's. It's especially awesome for college students who eat in dorm rooms or for people who enjoy cooking but don't like keeping tons of spices laying around in the kitchen. Basically, this is the Trader Joe's secret weapon you never knew you needed.
