Oh, Trader Joe's, how we love thee, and how quick we are to purchase everything shiny and new on thy shelves. As tough as it is to say no, have faith! We're trying all of Trader Joe's latest goods (from September) to let you know whether they are delicious enough to toss in your basket or not. September brings a random assortment of new products from cultured butter to organic pickles, but there can only be a few truly shoppable products. Check them out here before you enter the check-out line.

Pick Up: Cultured Salted Butter ($3)

Pick Up: Cultured Salted Butter ($3)

If you've never tried cultured butter, it has a slightly tart flavor and richer mouthfeel than standard butter. When we dove our knives into this, our first thought was, better than Kerrygold (one of our favorite Irish butters)? Not quite, but pretty darn close. We will stock up on this slightly salty butter from TJ's, no problem.

Pick Up: Fall Harvest Salsa ($3)

Pick Up: Fall Harvest Salsa ($3)

With pumpkin, butternut squash, and apples, this is Fall salsa like we've never experienced. It's also on the spicy side. Score!

Pick Up: Freestone Peach Slices ($4)

Pick Up: Freestone Peach Slices ($4)

These frozen, skinless peach slices are delicious — maybe even better than TJ's famed frozen mango chunks. I loved eating them right out of the bag as if they were mini popsicles, but I can't wait to try them in smoothies.

Pick Up: Broccoli and Kale Slaw ($3)

Pick Up: Broccoli and Kale Slaw ($3)

If broccoli slaw is one of your favorite TJ items, then you'll definitely want to grab this new ready-made slaw, dressing, nuts, and dried fruit included. Though it's packed with plenty of good stuff, it doesn't taste like you're eating rabbit food. Two thumbs up!

Pick Up: Handfuls of Happy Trekking ($7)

Pick Up: Handfuls of Happy Trekking ($7)

Trader Joe's trail mix is so good, but so annoying to pack into snack-sized portions. That's why the company has come out with these handfuls, aka individual-sized portions of their most popular mixes.

Pick Up: Toffee Chips ($4)

Pick Up: Toffee Chips ($4)

Surprisingly buttery with plenty of caramelized flavor, these toffee chips would be a welcome holiday gift when the season shifts. The package has both milk and dark chocolate-covered toffee, so there's something for everyone.

Pick Up: Cashel Blue ($13 / Pound)

Pick Up: Cashel Blue ($13 / Pound)

Cashel Blue reminds us of Point Reyes Bay Blue. It's creamy, salty, and not too in-your-face funky. Here's hoping it stick around for the holiday season.

On the Fence: Organic Kosher Dill Pickle Spears ($3)

On the Fence: Organic Kosher Dill Pickle Spears ($3)

Crunchy, slightly salty, and with no sugar in sight, these organic dill pickles are pretty good, but is that enough to make you opt for them over the conventional jar? Meh.

On the Fence: Pumpkin Spice Coffee Cups ($5)

On the Fence: Pumpkin Spice Coffee Cups ($5)

These pumpkin spice coffee cups are extremely robust and nutmeg-y. While the flavor doesn't smell or taste fake, that doesn't make it something we'd reach for through the season.

On the Fence: Organic Sriracha Ranch Dressing ($3)

On the Fence: Organic Sriracha Ranch Dressing ($3)

If you're really into mayo-y salad dressings, then this sriracha ranch is for you. However, we'd be more apt to use it as a dip. Though it packs in plenty of spice, the intense mayo flavor makes it a little less enticing.

Pass: Salmon and Vegetable Croquettes ($6)

Pass: Salmon and Vegetable Croquettes ($6)

These little salmon croquettes had so much promise. While they were very easy to cook and crisp up over the stovetop, the flavor was another story. Unless you're a huge fan of garlic and fish sauce, avoid these!

On the Fence: Organic Cream Top Plain Whole Milk Yogurt ($3)

On the Fence: Organic Cream Top Plain Whole Milk Yogurt ($3)

I mistakenly stirred this cream top yogurt, which resulted in a gritty, curtled looking yogurt. Don't do that! Before you decide to buy the yogurt, remember to keep the container upright and dive your spoon in for one big scoop so the yogurt below remains smooth and silky.

Pass: Portobello Mushroom Fries ($4)

Pass: Portobello Mushroom Fries ($4)

There's nothing "fry-like" at all when it comes to these portobello mushroom fries. They are more like a breaded mushroom slice. The flavor is nice, but the mushroom itself is hard to bite through. Who ever thought of cutting up french fries with a fork and knife? The answer is no one. We'd rather just eat regular french fries and pretend like we're sneaking in an extra serving of veggies.
