There's nothing "fry-like" at all when it comes to these portobello mushroom fries. They are more like a breaded mushroom slice. The flavor is nice, but the mushroom itself is hard to bite through. Who ever thought of cutting up french fries with a fork and knife? The answer is no one. We'd rather just eat regular french fries and pretend like we're sneaking in an extra serving of veggies.
