Starbucks Makes a CHURRO Frappuccino, but There's a Catch!
If you've ever wondered what Starbucks Summer specials are around the world, the answer is: very different than what you're used to in the US. From a Churro Frappuccino in Latin America to Matcha Via packets in Japan, these special offerings will make you really jealous you can't have them at your local Starbucks.
Brazil: Brigadeiro Frappuccino Blended Beverage
Brigadeiro, the Brazilian chocolate truffle covered in chocolate sprinkles, inspired this Frappuccino served in Brazil. It starts with coffee, chocolate chips, white chocolate sauce, mocha sauce, simple syrup, milk, and ice. Here's where things get interesting: the cup is lined with brigadeiro sauce then topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. Yum!
Brazil: Espresso Collection
The Brazilian tradition called Cafezinho, aka going out for an afternoon coffee with friends, inspired Starbucks to serve locally grown Brazilian coffee (in Dulce de Leche, Mocha, and Chocolate) served with whipped cream.
Latin America: Churro Frappuccino
The Churro Frappuccino, served in Latin America, seems like it can be re-created anywhere as it's made with cinnamon dolce and white mocha syrups, whipped cream, and a dusting of cinnamon.
Select Asian Markets: Strawberry Fruit Jelly Yogurt Frappuccino
The Strawberry Fruit Jelly Yogurt Frappuccino is a blend of fruit flavors, sweet jelly, yogurt, and whipped cream. It's like an ultradecadent parfait.
Select Asian Markets: Mango Fruit Jelly Yogurt Frappuccino
There's also a mango flavor with all the same yogurt parfait goodness . . .
Japan: Starbucks Via Tea Essence Matcha
We have Starbucks Via coffee here in the States, but in Japan, customers can enjoy matcha lattes instantly by adding milk to the sweetened green tea Via powder.
Europe: Teavana Blackberry Mojito Green Tea Lemonade
Teavana Blackberry Mojito Green Tea Lemonade, available in Europe, combines green tea with blackberries, raspberries, and spearmint. Mmm!
