Dunkin' Donuts celebrates Spring with its new menu. We visited the headquarters to try out the new drinks, doughnuts, and breakfast sandwiches, and the lineup does not disappoint! While the Coolatta may be discontinued and the overtly salty Sweet & Salted Cold Brew with salted whipped cream may be flops, they are just paving the way to the sweet, caffeinated goodness that lies ahead. Take a look!

The New Peanut Butter Delight Croissant Doughnut

The New Peanut Butter Delight Croissant Doughnut

Tasting notes: Way better than the Reese's doughnut, and according to the press release, this "features a glazed croissant doughnut filled with peanut butter buttercreme and topped with a chocolate icing drizzle."

Recommended pairing: "The creamy peanut butter and chocolate icing elevate the subtle chocolate notes in Dunkin’ Donuts’ Cold Brew Coffee."

The New Chocolate Pretzel Doughnut

Tasting notes: A little salty and a little sweet, and according to the press release, this "glazed chocolate cake doughnut [is] topped with sweet caramel icing drizzle and salty crushed pretzels."

Recommended pairing: "The salty pretzel topping and sweet notes of chocolate and caramel provide the ideal balance to the sweet, creamy, toasted nut flavor of the Butter Pecan Coffee," as pictured, a returning fan favorite featuring butter roasted pecan and sweet cream flavors that can be ordered be hot or iced and as a coffee, latte, or macchiato.

The New Beverages

The New Beverages

New coffee drinks: Dunkin' Donuts is releasing a new iced coffee flavor: Coconut Crème Pie iced coffee that combines vanilla, coconut, and sweet pie crust flavors. What's pictured is a Shaved Ice Espresso (testing in April). The drink, inspired by Asian desserts, features shaved ice, espresso, a shot of caramel syrup, and whipped cream. Yum! DD is also testing out unsweetened nitro coffee (nitrogen-infused into the coffee keg) in 10 shops.

Other new drinks: If coffee isn't your thing, try the new Dunkin' Energy Punch (Strawberry or Blue Raspberry Coolada with Monster Energy poured over). This used to be a secret menu item, but the crew was making this product in store, so Dunkin' decided to start selling in its New England stores (end of March). You can also try Fruited Iced Teas in either Mango Pineapple and Blackberry. The drinks combine "freshly-brewed 30% Rainforest Alliance Certified Black or Green Tea mixed with real fruit juice and topped with real pieces of fruit."

The New Pretzel Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

Tasting notes: According to the press release, "the sandwich features Cherrywood Smoked Bacon, egg and Wisconsin Aged White Cheddar Cheese, served on a new pretzel croissant that brings together the flaky, buttery goodness of a croissant with the salty deliciousness of a pretzel."

Recommended pairing: Balance the richness of the breakfast sandwich with a classic black DD coffee.
