These Are the 6 Foods Chrissy Teigen Keeps in Her Fridge at All Times

Chrissy Teigen doesn't shy away from sharing most things, but especially not from what she eats. Not only is she the author of an extremely popular cookbook, Cravings, but she's also constantly sharing her favorite foods, recipes, and indulgences on Instagram and Twitter. So while it's not exactly a secret that she's a self-proclaimed soup master, a fan of avocado toast, and a hater of Nutella, what's not as well-known are what some of her most important, everyday staples are at home.

So when I got a chance to speak one-on-one with Chrissy over the phone to talk about her involvement in the global launch of McDonald's delivery, I had to ask: "What's always in your fridge?" Fulfilling my expectation that Chrissy is just as relatable and genuine as she comes off as, Chrissy responded with a helpful list of six of her must-have refrigerator staples. You might be surprised by how much you have in common with Chrissy — well, what your refrigerator might have in common with hers — after discovering what she shared ahead.

Garlic Olive Oil

It seems that Chrissy Teigen agrees that garlic makes everything better, and infusing olive oil with garlic is a fantastic way to get a quick hit of flavor in anything you make, from sautéed vegetables to baked fish and garlicky pasta. "I always have garlic and olive oil that has simmered," Chrissy said of one of her refrigerator staples.

Hot Sauce

Hot Sauce

"I have lots of hot sauces," Chrissy said. Same, girl. And pro tip: you don't need to refrigerate hot sauce!

Although Chrissy might have a wide range of hot sauces stocked in her kitchen, she's been outspoken about how much she loves Cholula. In the recipe for John's fried chicken wings from her cookbook Cravings, the spicy honey butter calls for hot sauce, and Chrissy writes, "Sorry, it has to be Cholula."

Better Than Bouillon

Better Than Bouillon

Remember this throwback pantry staple? Better Than Bouillon offers a variety of concentrated bases made from meat or vegetables, and a tiny dollop adds an enormous amount of flavor to soups (like slow-cooker french onion pot pie soup), rice, and anything, really.

Chrissy, who's a huge fan, said, "I have that Better Than Bouillon jar because I always think food can be great, and sometimes it just needs a little jazzing up. People forget that there's this totally cool cheat way of [using] bouillon, and now it comes in jar form. It always spices up a recipe that's kind of lacking if you don't have the time to let it simmer."

Cabbage

Cabbage

Chrissy is a big fan of cabbage and said it's one of the things she always has on hand. While it's not the sexiest ingredient on the planet, cabbage can help you detox, debloats, and can aid in digestion. Plus, there are so many ways to cook with it beyond cabbage salads.

Ground Pork

Ground Pork

Ground pork is one of the most versatile meats and is so much more flavorful than ground chicken. It's one of Chrissy's staples, and one of her favorite things to make with it is her mom's pork-stuffed cucumber soup from Cravings. You can also use it for lettuce wraps, slow-cooker bolognese sauce, and wonton soup.

Chicken Breasts

Stars, they're just like us! And by that I mean you're not the only person who keeps chicken breasts in her fridge for an easy weeknight dinner — Chrissy does, too. "My mom can make anything out of those things," Chrissy said, referring to the cabbage, ground pork, and chicken breast that she always keeps stocked.
