The New (Pink!) Starbucks in Turks and Caicos Is Pretty Enough For Paradise

Starbucks has set sail to Turks and Caicos. Earlier this month, the coffee chain celebrated the opening of its new location in Grand Turk, which marks the first store in the archipelago.

The store is a major departure from most Starbucks exteriors, in that it's painted a pastel pink to match the local architectural color palette, as well as the island's stunning sunsets. In addition to the stylish seating inside, the store also features a hand-painted mural of a siren by Colombian artist Maria Camila Bernal Toro.

Though the store is located on a cruise port, Starbucks Director of Operations for Caribbean markets Tim Grever expressed a desire to service the local community as well. He said in a statement, "We are confident that along with Caribbean Coffee Traders Ltd, we will deliver a unique an exceptional coffee experience for Turks and Caicos Islanders, one that truly showcases our deep passion for some of the best coffees from around the world, while honoring the local culture."
