Emily Henderson's Bed Styling Tip

This 1 Supersimple Bed Update Makes Your Entire Bedroom Look Neater

"There's a new, easy trend that is the sweeping the bedroom: it's one huge bolster instead of three decorative pillows," Emily Henderson declared to us during an interview. The design guru and Air Wick spokeswoman said it has quickly become her favorite bedroom styling trick, and after seeing how gorgeous and fresh it looks, we have to agree that it's rapidly becoming ours as well.

Emily suggested placing a single 30- to 36-inch pillow across the top of a full- or queen-size bed. "It does the same job as a cluster of three pillows, but it looks so much neater and cleaner." As if this trick wasn't fabulous enough for its style alone, Emily emphasized the other benefits of swapping out your handful of decorative pillows for a single bolster. She said, "It is more affordable because it's just one pillow, and it's less fussy because, obviously, you're not having to take off three pillows and then restyle three pillows in the morning. It's just one big pillow."

Consider us sold: we're going to invest in a long bolster pillow like the pom pom-embellished one below ($49) and never waste time arranging throw pillows on our beds again!
