Shopping for men is a challenge, so we spoke to J. Pickens to help us perfect our home gift picks. He's not only a custom artist and fabricator and the star of HGTV's The Work Around With J. Pickens — he's also a style-savvy tastemaker. "I love giving gifts and for that reason I've spent A LOT of time thinking about what makes a gift great," J. told us. "The worst part of gifting is when the recipient keeps the gift and uses it out of obligation – it has happened to me one too many times and so I'm here to share my learnings with you."
