France's Chateau de Chateaubriant is reportedly visited each October by the ghost of a woman named Francoise de Foix, who returns on the anniversary of the day she was allegedly killed by her husband in 1537. The chateau, which was built in the 11th century, was used as a town hall until the 1970s and now is open to visitors.
