Dunedin's Larnach Castle, built by a 19th century entrepreneur, is one of New Zealand's largest estates. Unfortunately, the builder's wife and daughter both died at the home and are now said to haunt the structure and grounds. The builder's own life ended tragically when he committed suicide at New Zealand's Parliament in 1898.
