This Big Bang Theory Star Just Got Big Bucks For His House

Johnny Galecki may not be a physics savant like his character on The Big Bang Theory, but he's proven himself prodigious at real estate! The sitcom actor sold his two-bed, two-bath bungalow in the Hollywood Hills for a serious profit. Johnny listed the 1,707-square-foot home for $1.995 million, but a bidding war spiked the closing price up to $2.5 million. Johnny's profit is even more impressive when you consider that he bought the house from Patrick Dempsey in 2001 for a mere $982,500. He's already upgraded to a $9 million mansion in Beverly Hills, which he bought from actor Jason Statham. If his decorating tastes are anything like costar Kaley Cuoco's, we can expect him to decorate his new pad extravagantly.

So what makes this bungalow so attractive that the buyer was willing to go half a million over asking? Well, first there's its killer location in a coveted neighborhood above the Chateau Marmont. There's also the home's luxe details, including hardwood floors throughout, an airy open-floor plan, and beautiful views of Los Angeles. A swimming pool, spa, and built-in barbecue deck also make the home perfect for entertaining. Check it out for yourself here.
