Ben Carson Plays With Real Esate and Lists West Palm Beach Home For $1.2M

Ben Carson made headlines during the 2016 election as the neurosurgeon-turned-politician, but now the Florida resident is making a name for himself in the real estate world. Carson recently listed his West Palm Beach home for $1.2 million. The news comes on the heels of Donald Trump's nomination of Carson for the secretary of Housing and Urban Development earlier this month.

According to Variety, the five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home sits on 6,155 square feet in the beautiful gated golf community. It has high ceilings and is decked in beige accents. The irregularly shaped kitchen has been renovated with "custom cabinets, granite counter tops and high-end stainless steel appliances." It's a Mediterranean-style family home, which Dr. Carson purchased almost three years ago for $775,000. Would Trump approve of the faux-gold Victorian-style interior?

Carson and his wife, Candy, are looking to sell this minimansion after reportedly purchasing their next home, a similar looking 9,000-square-foot mansion in Palm Beach Gardens, for $4.4 million in September. Carson also owns an estate in rural Maryland, which according to Variety is about 25 miles northwest of Baltimore.
